Anyone know what the popcorn looking stuff is on the anodes? This has happened before, I clean them up with a wire brush and it comes back a few weeks later.
This should keep me busy my last few days off work...

Could be, there's a bunch of old boats on shore power at my dock. These are aluminum anodes too, I bought them back when I thought we might take the boat to San Diego and put in salt water occasionally. I ordered a set of magnesium anodes yesterday since she'll probably never see salt water again. Hopefully they will work better. I have a deposit in on a Hydrohoist 8800, hoping to have it installed in the next week or two. Hoist shopping has been a fiasco.cmattj wrote: Wed Jan 01, 2020 10:38 pm That looks like electrolysis? Is it possible the marina has poor grounding on the underwater electric to the dock?
Got a old Chris craft plugged in on a two prong in the next slip?
Put some fresh anodes on her and let’s look away for now.. Hoist shopping?

But damn look at that nice fresh Goodyear Tire and Rim package. Those still look great!
Get the pressure washer out, we will check in on progress in a day or so.
