Have you heard of Volvo ever stepping up for a customer?

Honestly yes. But really it's your dealer that has to push for this. Cobalt and Volvo will listen to them and all of them will make the call.

So after 6 hours at the dealer yesterday, we agreed to $3,000 cash, $500 in “cobalt cash”, 3 free annual services, and they’re sending a VP rep out to confirm all is well with motor. They lake tested yesterday with no issues and claim it’s just been a string of bad luck. I’ll give it one last chance lol stay tuned 😂

Ya. That will def be discussed and will run boat with them next Wednesday with two employees from dealer and then back to lake with VP tech Thursday. I really struggled with the offer and everything better be perfect or I will not accept it. Prob going to put boat up for sale through dealer and private party in max two years (assuming it operates correctly). Dealer said they’d build me a new one at cost on my next boat regardless.

While inconvenient it sounds like they are doing their best to make it right. Good luck!

Agreed. Honestly. Bob and I had this discussion earlier this year. I don't put up with things that don't work and are a headache. I work with this crap everyday. If it was mine its gone and I'm buying another one. It amazes me what people keep and put up with. Each there own. I'm not saying that's what you should do its just me. Like I said before I'm glad they are stepping up. I knew they would that's great. With every thing I have worked with when one thing goes this wrong it doesn't stop.
I hope it does so you can enjoy it. Ok I'm done. I could mumble and spell things wrong all night but I won't. Ok I'm done.

It's amazing how many "professionals" out there have no idea what they are doing. One of the main reasons I try to DIY as much as possible...been burned too many times by professionals who just DGAF. Want it done right, gotta do it yourself.

I have no constructive input on this, but just came to vent/commiserate on having to micromanage several different people/companies to do what they say they are going to do lately. Seems like it's getting worse instead of better too.

BTW Mmurphy...you said you're in AZ. What lake do you frequent? I'm up at Pleasant.

It ended up good. They gave me $3500 cash, speakers, amps, tower racks and 3 years free service. Also gave my wife a $500 wakeboard. Been out 3 times with no problems. If all continues to go well than I’m happy with the boat
