Ok I'm a huge Cars fan and grew up listening to them. I wish I saw them in concert but I never did. But now both lead singers and founding members are passed. Benjamin Orr passed a few years ago in 2000.Ric Ocasek just passed this week along with Eddie Money.
So I just listened to a bunch of my fav cars tunes.

Big fan here too bbp. When I hear the Cars now it always takes me back to my 80’s memories...like Drive.

BTW, how about that computer (at the 2:40 mark) —next to the keyboard that Greg Hawkes is playing. Commodore 64?? A real 64 KB of RAM 🐑 powerhouse 😂

Yea they were all very talented. It was all of them that made that band. Ric did get a big head though. Elliott Easton is great to watch. He can play. Even on there single albums they each had a part in them somehow. Yes the pc was the bomb. Hi tech stuff then. Lol. Greg was a great keyboardest.

Lately, been listening to our home town band from Buffalo, the Goo Goo Dolls.
I guess you would have to experience the family culture in Buffalo to get it, but it’s a weather embracing tradition here, and we don’t let weather stop the fun unless there is lightning.
These guys are still very Buffalo. Robbie Takac who plays bass can be found with us commoners at River Works on the Buffalo River during a random summer day, and they are very involved in fund raising and great causes that help the city every year.

We're trying new stuff. I changed my Verison plan to get free Apple Music just for the boat. As I have said before, what we listen to depends on what we're doing on the lake. When moving and music is loud, wife loves U2. When relaxing, Van Morrison, Rod Steward, Neil Diamond.
On old boat with CD player, one of my favs was Twilight New Moon Soundtrack. There is one song about the monsters down deep. We don't go in the water when it plays. LOL. New relaxing music: Cigarettes After Sex. London Grammer.
If you're in the mood to try something different.

I got to see The Marshall Tucker Band at the Overton Park Shell in Memphis in the early 70's. Great show. Lots of energy.

I bought my wife and I tickets to Styx in December. It's going to be a suprise to her, as they're one of her favorite groups. 12 rows back, center stage on the floor!

Back in the early years of Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, Mississippi, Styx used to perform here almost yearly. I couldn't believe the almost cult following they had. I talked to several people who traveled all around to follow them, like the Grateful Dead or Phish. Never got to see them myself. Styx and Pink Floyd were probably the best bands that I never got to see live.

I'll bet you had to get tickets pretty early to get seats that good....or know someone. Enjoy.
