I have the same discoloring. I'll be bringing this up with my dealer during the fall storage time....

Hey Chatters I have the same issue on my R7 Looking forward to what works! I've tried everything I can think to solve the discoloring.

Do either of you use the mooring cover? My dealer thinks it may have something to do with the padding that protect the boat from the winch straps built in the mooring cover.

I do. And I have thought of that. My opinion is this is still their problem.

They charge an arm and a leg for that thing and should be responsible for it. The cover also scratches the SS rim around the windshield. I'm going to ask that a pad gets sewed in to protect it (not on my dime). Ironically, the other problems I have had have all been around expensive options: inset Cobalt emblem, Captains Call, underwater lighting, etc..... When I go shopping in a few years, Cobalt will unfortunately not be the only brand I look at...... My dealer has been great but the quality of the boat itself has been less-than-optimal. (first-world problems, no doubt)

So just got word from my dealer they are going to replace the entire rub rail. It's been ordered and should be here next week. Sounds like the plastic got stressed while making the bend around the stern and caused it to discolor... Now just need the ski pylon, bimini top and the rust on the swim platform fixed and I'm done with warrantee issues.... I hope!
