Arch for R3
Arch for R3
I have a 2015 R3 with a standard bimini top. The marina where we store it says they can't take boats with archs. I really want to add a arch.....doesn't it fold forward so that it won't interfere with stacking? I believe I've heard that it was a $8,000 add, but it sure looks great! Thanks!

Re: Arch for R3
I have the folding arch on my R7 and it folds down to about 4inches taller than the windshield. From what I have been told all the r series boats wether they get an arch or not gets setup for one. So it shouldn't be to difficult to add.skeys911 wrote: Wed May 29, 2019 2:34 pm I have a 2015 R3 with a standard bimini top. The marina where we store it says they can't take boats with archs. Re: Arch for R3
I believe you're correct about all R Series being prepped for an arch. Mine was a dealer add-on and all backing plates / reinforcement was built into the boat already.

Re: Arch for R3
Did you end up adding the arch? Did you receive confirmation that all R series have all backing plates / reinforcement built into the boat from the factory? I'm considering adding the Cobalt folding arch to mine to replace my Bimini top but dealer is saying its expensive and difficult to add as they may need to remove decking.

I'm sure it's not easy. The backing will be there. If you need a 360 tower we can find you one cheap.
