Actually, I won't be back to see the boat until it is delivered. We have a large family event starting Friday (through Sunday) and the dealer is closed Friday through Monday for the Canada Day long weekend. I can post pictures on Tuesday though after I get it into its slip.

Katie now records every bit of our lake trips, it should be great when I am in the retirement home and can't remember my own name let alone our time on the lake.

Actually, I had to return the GoPro, it won't work with the Garmin glass cockpit, you need a Garmin action camera (Ultra 30 Vibe), so I'm going to buy one of those.

I was at the dealership today to get a bill of sale, pay for the boat and have a look at the interior. I took of picture of that. I opted for the base carpet. My family and I agreed that we didn't like the feel of the seagrass under bare feet. We considered the sof-trac marine mat, but it would have been a beige colour and I was worried it would look dirty after a season or two.

A Tuesday delivery really works out for me as my first opportunity to be at the lake will be Tuesday. The dealer did offer to deliver the boat on Canada Day (July 1st), which as you know is the equivalent 4th of July holiday in the USA, but I didn't want to take him away from a summer long weekend (and I wouldn't be out at the lake anyway).

I just arrived at the lake a couple of hours ago. The dealer will be delivering the boat to the marina here tomorrow at noon (+/-). We just need to fuel it at the gas station first. I’m a bit worried about the conditions in the marina though. The water is 4’ in some areas and for the first time I can remember, there is significant plant growth reaching the surface. I’m going to do some manual depth measurements after supper tonight on my Sea Doo, so I know what parts to stay away from.

If your that worried turn the depth finder off and hit it full throttle. Otherwise just park it. Let's go bob you got us on this journey let's get that bad boy in the water and go. Just remember if your in weeds come to a stop first before you take off then hit reverse to get the weeds off then nail it. Get that 380 rolling.

Katie and I are currently playing our favorite game - what the heck is BBP trying to say. It's hours of fun for the entire family. Second part is easy - not even really a challenge for an experienced BBP translator - "I got 2k in props hanging under me."

But I yaks of? Thats tough. Kaite is currently reading it out loud over and over again, I think we may have it....

I went out on the Sea Doo this evening and measured depths in various places in the marina. All depths are 6 - 7’ so depth isn’t going to be a problem but the plant growth will be.

Three years ago. Zebra Mussels were discovered in our lake and in particular our marina. This year the waster is clearer (don’t you know the buggers are natural filters) and the clearer water has accelerated plant growth which is choking the water in the marina. One person told me his boat stalled exiting the marina. I’ve emailed asking for a deeper water slip, with less growth but who knows...

I’m wondering whether the DP setup will chop up the growth that accumulates? Where is the fresh water cooling intake?

It’s always something
