With the New tech, all the gauges have integrated . I like and miss the old at the same time.
Still missing Waterpressure interface or manual gauge as my last 2 boats had it. You could see freshwater impeller health at idle and underway. I wonder if Mercury 8.2 have that brought over yet?

I’m with T as this week has allowed my visual first looks of the A29 to go from...... WTF? To “ I’d lounge in that Euro styled Cobalt. I like that they crammed all the features they felt the consumer would want. Even A/C

I wonder how the ac works in this thing. They say it runs off the motor. So does the motor have to be running in order for the ac to be cool? My guess would be yes.

I think everyone knows and accepts that people are resistant to change, and for several reasons.
First, it's natural. Newly redesigned items like cars/kitchens/trucks/boats/bathrooms suddenly dates our recent purchases and makes them less desirable and passé. On one hand, we are turned off by drastic change, but with an open mind, eventually we come to accept and embrace new style. The jury on the new Chevy 2500 HD may well come back with favorable sales once it becomes normal to look at. I hated it at first, but I imagine I will eventually like it.

In hindsight, it's easy for GMC to just modernize what they have, and just play it safe. No balls required..
But, its bold and trail breaking for Chevrolet, and I applaud their effort, because without trail breakers like the Chevy design team and Cobalt's A29 style, things become stagnant and boring.
But jeez Cobalt...twins for goodness sake......

Tuscany I admire your optimism. I'd take an A29 in a heartbeat as long as I could change and chunk that life preserver steering wheel. And then everything else I'd be bragging about... if I owned it.

I guess when it comes to describing me I can honestly say there's only two things I really dont like.
1. Change
2. The way things are

On the flip side, if you keep it long enough it becomes a classic, then boom, it's a wise investment again. When I bought my e30 BMW it was the bottom of the barrel, dime a dozen Civic of European cars, now in the last 5-7 years it's become a 'collectors car' pulling in stupid amounts of money. Keep that new R7 pristine for 30 years and you could probably swell it for more than you paid.

And Tusc - I'm with you. It's growing on me. You don't stay relevant without innovating.

I'm waiting to see when they put up the webpage. I suspect that not everything you see here will be standard or even available once you can order them.
