So I was talking to A7 offline. He would consider getting a van and being our designated driver since he doesn't drink lemonade. For you guys flying in and thinking about renting a car, maybe you could just Uber to the hotel and ride in the van? Then we could all pitch in. What do you guys think?

would pickup the 15 pax van at MCI airport, Thursday afternoon on 12/13 around 3:30-4pm ish after our flight (SWA 2291) lands from BWI.

Drive 40-42 minutes to Overland Park Doubletree.

Meet folks at hotel.
I can drive to bbq. (Leave around 6ish?)
Shuttle folks if they want.

Then on Friday 12/14 drive van up to Neodesha (leave around 7:30am for 10am tour)

Drive folks back after tour.
Use van for dinner Friday night with folks.

Leave for airport around 5am Saturday for 6:50 flight out to BWI.

15 pax Enterprise Van costs about $214 out the door unlimited mileage.
$214 plus gas divided per head for anyone who wants in? Less cost the more folks we have. That would only be $10 each if all 22-25 folks wanted in.
I’m guessing it may be around 8-12 persons since some folks have cars.

If you just want shuttled to restaurant or bar I work for tips.

Just a thought.

Open for ideas.

Leave the Doubletree Friday morning at 7:30 for Neodesha; tour at 10am

All set ! I know you worry about me driving in the snow. I’ve watched Youtube and it seems easy. Lol. It will be nice to Van pool as well.

The itinerary seems good and leaves a room for any timelines that change due to conditions . Us California folk are easy

All set ! I know you worry about me driving in the snow. I’ve watched Youtube and it seems easy. Lol. It will be nice to Van pool as well.

Wait - you have never driven in the snow? If Kansas really does get the 1 - 2 inches as projected I am all for giving you the keys to the rental jeep standing back and watching. 2WD only you have to learn on a rear wheel drive car /w no weight over the back wheels. I will make sure to get the full coverage insurance.

Does driving on loose gravel Qualify me??

Yeah Im not worried about the conditions, and yes I have plenty of snow driving under my belt as we frequent Tahoe alot. But I do like being Chauffeured By BB, and the Van Ride with Group sounds fun now that Liquid has a Plan for activities. Although The Van may fill fast so don't be surprised if we hijack the Jeep.lol Well be wearing helmets so no worries.
