New R7 Delivery date

We ordered our R7 on October 9th, and was scheduled to begin work on October 30th, and it is scheduled to be done December 12th. They contacted us last week (Nov 29th) and asked us if we wanted to add trim tabs, so they must be in the stages of wiring it which makes it seem to me that there is no possible way for it to be done by the 12th, but I have no idea in which order they install such items. Does anyone know what stage our boat would be in if they are asking about Trim Tabs?

If anyone has experience ordering, was your cobalt completed on time?

Wow congrats. We will take a picture with your new boat next week for you at the factory tour. So tell them not to wrap her up yet. Don't worry we will eat lunch and cheerios on it for you just to break her in so you don't have to.

Hey bradydonohue. Welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

I can’t help you with stage timing but can highly recommend trim tabs for load balancing and ride in various water conditions.

As far as production timing goes, honestly, this sounds fairly common for Cobalt (or any other boat manufacturer for that matter). “Hey, ask buyer about changing something so we have an out to miss the deadline”.
Others who have ordered in the past will chime in.

We are looking forward to your pics. Come down to the factory tour on the 14th and ask them about progress —oh wait, it’s an off day.

I would think that would have been installed engine out but?? You can always call and get an update. Myself and 21 friends are going to Neeodesha for lunch as BB stated. So we’ll check on her and post some pics.

What is the hin number. Don't worry I'll bring the marking pens. We will personally sign it. Also Katie will give her a test run in the tank while we are there. Yes the captains call will be on!! Don't worry Tuscany likes drilling holes in other people's boat and Matt will help line the tips as well. Whitey get on the phone or have a phone conference with A7 And Paxton and get that boat in the tank

We'll ALL be in the tank! And Paxton can upsell this particular boat as a "Signature Series"!! Matt may even leave an empty lemonade bottle as a keepsake!
