Draining the volvo engine block for winter

Post by ctfortner »

Hey all, I need to get my 1995 220 winterized. I am a DIY kind of person and would rather do it myself. I didn't have much time yesterday, but quickly looked for the block drains and could only locate 1 on each side, on the side. I look toward the rear and didn't see any. Shouldn't I expect to find 2 per side? this is a volvo 5.8 FSI engine. I planned to drain all the water, then hook it all back up and run A/F through it. Of course adding stabil before doing that. Are these the hoses I should disconnect and drain (see pic/arrow) along with the drain plugs?

That's a Ford. Yecks. Can't say I've ever had one of those bad boys in a boat. Actually never owned a ford. So side track how do you like it. How does it perform.
Yes that is the hose. Block plugs not sure. More will come in.
Also welcome to the forum and please introduce yourself in the new member section and get us pictures of that 220 and details of where you boat.
