I just had vinyl ones made and stuck it to the side of the engine bayiboatmon wrote: Mon Jul 02, 2018 11:03 amThanks... I have made up my mind to exchange the (transfer) the Certificate of Documentation. I just think it is a little cleaner and since the vessel is already documented by the USCG, why not keep it.tgrace98 wrote: Sun Jul 01, 2018 9:26 pm
Welcome aboard! Love your boat and would love to see some interior pics.
I can’t answer the first 2 but I can answer number 3.
I have mine registered through the USCG and I did it for 2 reasons. Sales tax was a lot cheaper going USCG registration. It was about 30% cheaper for me. And I didn’t want numbers on my boat. I mounted the certification number on the starboard side in the engine compartment
Did you fasten the plaque with screws or epoxy?

Welcome from Minnesota. I lived in El Dorado Hills, CA and had a lake condo in Kings Beach, CA until a couple months ago and have many fond memories of boating Lake Tahoe every summer since 2008.

Just noticed your post. Thanks for the welcome! I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska and I spent many summers up in Minnesota at various lakes. A college body of mine had a cabin on Ponto Lake, north of Brainard, where I had some great times and spent my honeymoon there too. We have been in CA since 1974, but we have many good memories from Minnesota!

Extraordinary pics boatmen. Much obliged to you for posting. There are, be that as it may, a lot of spots to stop and appreciate the view, leave, or have a cookout. A great part of the shoreline is open (however not all), with parks, shorelines, swimming zones, and different attractions. It's 72 miles around and takes three hours on the off chance that you don't do anything besides drive.
Investigate this NorthLakeTahoeMap with data on movement times, separations and diagrams and shocking lakeside neighborhoods.

Hey exple1947, thanks for posting. So glad you found us!
How’d you get into Cobalts? Do you boat on Tahoe? Feel free to start an intro thread if you have time. We love hearing folk’s stories. Pics are a bonus too.
...and welcome aboard mate!
