My wife insisted on using the built in cooler on our 282 for towel storage until I finally nagged enough about hauling the cooler in and out and getting around the cooler all day. The last month we have FINALLY been using the built in and I'm very happy with it. It keeps ice no problem all day on a hot day and holds two 30 packs of ___________, plus ice! I didn't know it had a valve but mine must already be open as it's drained itself nicely every time. We just leave it open when we aren't going to be on the boat for a few days to prevent any moisture issues. My wife had to get her way on the layout for something else so we now run with the bow filler cushion in all the time. I think it's dumb, but I have my cooler!!

Well that’s a buzz killer

My rear hatch storage AKA cooler lasts a day. If we don’t unload for next day we just pile ice. I wouldn’t over engineer those as there actually wet storage.

If it’s got a drain.. it’s cooler. !!
