Took the boat for the first time since I bought it last Saturday.

Here are few pics from our outing on Lake Wright Patman. My daughter was a little timid at first, but then she got in to it and was like "kick this pig daddy"! :D Happy to oblige. An ACDC song came on, Captains Call turned on, and Full Throttle! We hit somewhere between 47-52 (speedometer was bouncing a round a little). Then I pulled back on the throttle and cruised at about 45. Lol...the last boat she was on was a pontoon rental!

That yellow boat looks great on the water. Daughter looks at home with her hair in the wind.

Yea that's a awesome shot. That bow is really deep. She has to reach way up for that handle. Nice and safe.

Yeah I know. I will eventually repair the L. My list of non-boat weather stuff is growing.

I got the Sony BT head unit Friday night. It was fairly easy to install but the silly thing would keep loosing the BT connection to my iphone. So I need to get that figured out.
I got a guy who is working on getting me a plan for new speakers with RGB LED lights and a way to set and save scenes.
I have a battery tender to install.
I got some yellow gel coat repair stuff in the mail.
I got new TX registration numbers in the mail to put on.
I am still trying to get the family to decide on a name for the boat so I can get a Name Decal made and installed
I need the "L" fixed.
The depth finder in boat is not working so I need to trouble shoot that before I put it up for the winter and/or look at getting something that has sonar and I like the idea of topographical charts of the water too. Any recommendations?

But, while I got the weather and time to make the pony tail fly, that is what I am going to do. It was my daughter's first time on this boat. She had a blast. I want to keep giving her some good memories so she will be anxious for it next spring. I dont think she will care if all that happens in a Cobait or a cobalt. LOL...Yes...the Ls in LOL and the missing L...well I better stop there.

I can’t get my iPhone to pair with my Sony BT unit either. I always just end up using a usb cable.

The L should be easy to replace. Any cobalt dealer stocks them.

Depthfinder might just need a little antifreeze in the transducer

And great pics! Glad your daughter had a great time! I mean it’s a 262 with a big block so I don’t know how she couldn’t of had a good time 😀

Looks like a great outing. And everything important worked good. Sony’s seem to loose thier minds with no memory hooked up so I pair if I haven’t used it in a week.

The other stuff is easy and depending on what dashboard layouts you want . Do a search and you’ll see a few members with the 260 series and what they used.

That’s a great list JM. And for now, YT may be on to something....Cobait has a nice ring to it.

Agreed on the BT interruption. It interrupts when we turn the key from accessory to the start/running position when we start the engine. Have to hit play again on the Iphone and after about 20 seconds it will play thru the speakers. And as long as we turn the key from the running position to the accessory position in one motion (ie fast), it won’t drop.
