Saying Hi!

Post by ejanus »

Glad I found a Cobalt forum! I currently have an '85 Condesa with the 5.7. Not a speed demon; but a comfortable ride no doubt.

Going through mechanicals for the past couple seasons; and am looking at the end of that to start on the cosmetics.

Sounds like you have quite a restoration talent. Any pics of that baby? First Cobalt?

Once again, welcome aboard mate!

Welcome from Louisiana and from another '80s boat owner. I have an '85 CM23 that has been restored. I would love to see some pics of your. Our boats are very closely related.

Right. It looks great. How long have you owned it? Where do you boat? The chain?

Yeah; remote stereo control going to the stereo in the cabin with a 1,500 watt amp powering speakers. Re-did the aluminum trim; had it hammered then polished.

Vinyl will be the big job; had a hail storm come through and I got caught in it. Ended up leaving holes; and such all over the sunpad and rear bench.

Yes; I'm up on the Chain in Northern Illinois. With the deadrise on this thing though and the freeboard; I keep debating on moving over to Lake Michigan.
