Ooops, just looked at the photo. It is a GSI. I guess I was projecting wishful thinking. Anyway, can't believe I have a boat that goes this fast. WOw.

Just wondering, what is this for? Cruise control?

Yep, that's a fair bit older than the 5.7L I have. The ones based on my block were sold as a V8-225, V8-300, or V8-320, and were only sold for a few years before being replaced with the new V6 4.3L engines and V8 5.3L engines.

Swapping the ECU may be mechanically simple, but at $1200 it's not a particularly tempting experiment to be a trailblazer.

That engine is the 280hp older version Volvo. I think they were all throttle body injected. Very reliable. Yes cruise control. Not sure why it has it. I don't like that they clamped it on the hoses. They must have done allot of skiing with it. It's like perfect pass now days. A poor version at that.

Agree with this - I've seen this before for slalom. It doesn't work. The skier still yanks the boat and the speed fluctuates the same as if you just kept throttle level. It can't react quickly enough like perfect pass does.
