Don’t get me started on some of the newer Cobalt boat design engineering feats. Of course every manufacturer has their issues.

I agree, and a funny story about it that almost caused me to pull my new R7 back out of the water and take it back to the dealer thinking something was wrong. I was launching for the maiden voyage and was backed in. For the life of me the boat would not turnover or start. I had power to the gauges, was in neutral, checked the battery switch, even tried to google why I got nothing when I turned the key. I was about to give up and pull it out when I decided to try one more time while standing up. Out of the corner of my eye i noticed a flicker on the control unit. So I looked down and turned the key again and the screen read "trim to high to start". I started laughing, lowered the trim and off I went. I really think the unit should have been mounted where the screen is visible.

There is nothing on that unit we need to read. Everything is on the dash.
