Engine Hatch
I am getting ready to get a battery charger installed and a question came to mind. If something ever happened and you get stranded with a dead battery, is there a way to open the engine hatch manually to jump the batteries?

Re: Engine Hatch
Now that i think of it, that's what the "emergency" part of the battery switch is for. Just curious if there was a way to open the hatch if you had to manually. There has to be a way.

Battery jump is first option .no_rulz25 wrote: Fri May 11, 2018 10:56 am Now that i think of it, that's what the "emergency" part of the battery switch is for. Just curious if there was a way to open the hatch if you had to manually. There has to be a way.
Most Hydraulic ram set ups, are on a hinged platform on the base or top of the ram. That will lift and seperate if the battery or Pump unit dies. You then will see a prop rod attached.
It will allow the hatch to be manually opened with all systems dead.

It's ok.. just pull up and you will see the hinges separate if it's equipped that way.no_rulz25 wrote: Fri May 11, 2018 11:15 amI could be wrong, but I don't think I have the battery jump option.cmattj wrote: Fri May 11, 2018 11:00 amBattery jump is first option .no_rulz25 wrote: Fri May 11, 2018 10:56 am Now that i think of it, that's what the "emergency" part of the battery switch is for. The other versions have pass through panel( side or under seat) that allows your hand to reach through to a pin to be pulled from the shaft that holds the ram.
Pull the pin.. walah.. look a little closer as there's always a way
