Carpet Backing

It seems to me a few months ago I saw a post where someone had found some brush on liquid rubber of some sort to paint on the backside of the carpet where the black backing had started to come apart and make that black dust all over everywhere. I have searched but can't find it again. can anybody help out on this.

Yes that was me. I'll try to find it. I used white rubber roofing paint. It worked very good. I should have used black. I think vans or another member was doing it also not too long ago.

I used flex seal on a different one and my can I think was real old on the store shelf as it wasn't in much of a liquid form anymore, more of a paste. It worked just not as good as I hoped. I think a fresh can would have.
Still good ideas to prevent the black rubber powder from making a mess in the boat.

Thank you, I'll find some and use it. I took my carpet out and have a nice layer of black dust. I think your solution will do the trick.
