Bottoms Up Lift

Post by Cycleman6 »

As many of you know, in the process of upgrading my 220S to a R5, I am also upgrading my lift. This morning at 6:00, my driver left KY to head to Green Forest AR to pick up the lift. He should be home tommorrow with it, and hopefully get the lifts swapped out in the coming couple weeks. Lake is so high right now, can't really get access to boat ramp. Here's a pic of him on his way back loaded on the trailer.

That's going to be Great! As soon as my new slip is built In having an 8000 lb hydro installed, so itll be interesting to see your pictures. Are you setting it up to pull in or back in?

I'm going to set it up to pull in, only because I think backing in is extremely difficult with a single engine. My slip is only 24', so I'm having an extension installed to extend to cover up the rear swim platform. The model I purchased is the 8800lb model from Bottoms Up. Seems like a very well built lift, although not as well known as HydroHoist.

My local dock builder is a dealer for Bottoms Up, and installed one of their lifts last summer on the lake and the owner has been very happy with it. Here is a picture of the lift he installed last year, which also has a R5 during the season on it.

And here is a picture of my old setup. Dealer took the old lift on trade, since it was just 6 months old, and is installing the new Bottoms Up for me.
