Just to clarify a little, this one has the swim platform but not the additional extended swim platform option.
Not liking the "Bottom paint".

Also looks to be a saltwater boat with bottom paint. Looks well kept, but I wouldn’t put this one at the top of the list.

Most likely not a saltwater boat, but rather wet slipped. The outdrive has quite a bit of scum on it. Never know, but the dealer is here in Austin a couple hundred miles from the Gulf.

Agreed. I’m lucky the previous owner was rich and meticulous. Everything was detailed and maintained. He just didn’t use it. He dropped a brand new engine in it without thinking twice. He bought it to take out his grandkids who never visited. Actually a much sadder story than I’ll tell here. Needless to say the guys that maintained it are very happy it found a good home and my dealer is always ready to buy it back. He wants me in a forward R3. There are none on our lake and even offered to discount it so we could show it.

To keep this thread on track...just to reiterate, you are searching for a 2000-2007 262.

....and it sounds like the following options are what you desire:

- Volvo or Merc big block
- Counter rotating props on outdrive
- Switchable Captains Call exhaust
- 2nd Extended swim platform
- Filler cushions (rear)
- Darker color hull
- Less than 500 hours
- Trailer

Prefer local MO boat.
Is this correct? Anything else?

Finally, you are boating on LOTO, where are you at on the lake? Do you have experience with this lake? It can get quite rough for even a 262....like monster plowing cruiser wakes. Water can come over the bow VERY easily. If you get stuck between two of them with crossing waves it can get very dangerous.
I also love to boat shop. I’ve literally shopped boats every day since 2006.

Aslan7,

You are correct except captains call would be nice but not necessary and no trailer needed once I get it to the lake. Yes, LOTO can be a washing machine on weekends and Holidays, that's when I sit on my dock and watch the madness but Sunday afternoon till Friday afternoon its a whole different lake. Let me say I would like to stay around $30,000, so give me your best shot. Thanks for all the input!
