.
It is. His depth alarm is set higher than the current depth and he takes an exorbitant amount of time to click the switch to the side (supposed to be installed so the switch pushes up or down) to silence the alarm.

I'm surprised he bounced of the rev limiter so easy. 55 it was done. Very quick though. I think it's a bit over propped.

I thought if you over rev you were under/ too small of a prop ? I'm no prop guy so correct me if I'm wrong.

If you trim to high you will over spin the prop. Hence hitting the rev limiter

Yes I would he could have over trimmed it but it went to 4500 awe full fast. I think it's over propped and I'm sticking too that.

Could have been over trimmed but I did not see any Porpoising. Assuming correct trim won't the fix be installing more prop ?

Nope....If it over revs it is under-propped. In other words not enough pitch or prop diameter and allows the motor to rev over the recommended wide open throttle (WOT) RPMs. If it was over-propped it would mean too much pitch and the engine cannot reach recommended WOT. This would be akin to lugging an engine.

I always cut you folks from Wisconsin some slack. It's always so dang cold up there I figure the brain cells are all frozen affecting the common thought process. ;)
