What does L mean?
What does L mean?
On my 210 you can scroll down on the screen that is located on the speedometer by pushing a button under the dash. You can basically get what the individual gauges give you such as RPM, depth, fuel consumption per hr., etc. There is one reading with an L and that number during my last trip varied starting around 90 and ending around 80 or so. It is not in the 210 boat owners manual on page 3-24. Also I had the trim gauge reading from 0-10 and that disappeared later in the day - couldn't locate it again after scrolling through all the readings. So, two questions, what is the L and why would the trim reading disappear?

Re: What does L mean?
I wonder if the L is fuel level? Decreasing from 90 to 80 over the course of your trip suggests this is a good possibility. I'll have to take a look the next time I have mine out and see if I have the L, or the trim settings on mine. Not sure why it would disappear after giving valid readings, especially if the separate trim gauge is still receiving data and working OK.

Re: What does L mean?
I had my 210 out on Sunday, and am pretty convinced that the L is the fuel level. I also have an R just before the L in the rotation, which doesn't appear to tell me anything useful (looks like it may be set up for sensors for left and right fuel tanks).
As for the trim gauge, I get a trim gauge reading display every time I cycle through the display options on the speedometer, which appear to be accurate.

Re: What does L mean?
Ok thanks. Had my boat out yesterday and the L began around 40 or 50 and ended around 20. It varies. I ran the fuel down to the first red warning mark so there seems to be some relationship to fuel and the space does show a fuel icon. It still doesn't make sense as it doesn't represent gallons and I wouldn't think liters. The trim gauge still doesn't show up. Will ask my dealer.
Do you have any idea how much fuel you will take on when the gauge is at the first or second red mark? I will determine mine when I fuel up next time. And it does vary when on the water, at idle, at wake speed and running speed. I know it is a 40 gallon tank. I have 8 hrs now so break-in is nearing completion as the last 10 hrs is pretty much how I would boat anyway.
Going to Grand Lake of the Cherokees in Oklahoma on Tuesday for couple of days. First time. Staying at the Tera Miranda Harbor and Resort. Anyone here have experience on that lake?

Re: What does L mean?
I don't think it's in gallons, I think it's on a percentage basis, e.g. 75 is about 75% full, 25 is about 25% full. My gauges have been fairly linear, so at 10% I'd expect maybe four gallons left.
Please let us know what you find about the disappearing trim readout. I might guess that it's a loose connection or something, except that the dedicated trim gauge should also be reading incorrectly in that event.

Your percentage makes sense. I have a call into dealer and will report.
Re: What does L mean?
Dealer says it means percentage of fuel left like you thought. As for disappearing trim he wants me to video so he can send to Cobalt engineers.
