VP Forward Drive (i.e. Surf) vs. DuoProp - Performance

Has anyone driven the same make & model boat with the same engine, but one with a Forward Drive and one with a standard DuoProp drive? Just curious as to differences in hole shot, cruise speed, and top speed, and overall performance.

Can't speak to hole shot but from what I've seen the FWD drives lose about 3-5 MPH off the top end speed.
