Factory Arch Help
Greetings! We purchased a used 2019 Cobalt 23SC and would like to add the OEM Arch. Who has the best dealer to call for this? We have called our local Cobalt dealer twice without any results. Thanks in advance!

Re: Factory Arch Help
It will be difficult to find a Cobalt-branded arch, but Samson Sports makes a lot of them for Cobalt and should be able to help you out -

Re: Factory Arch Help
Appreciate that info, and I have looked at what they listed on the website, the appearance of the blade is decent but I do prefer the OEM look.

.
So glad you found us GSP..
Sorry we can't help with the OEM arch. Ironically, the Samson style OEM arch was the only one we preferred on our Cobalt and all others just did not have that same great look or strength. Hope you can find what you want. Post a pic when you get a chance. We love them here.
And welcome aboard mate.

Re: Factory Arch Help
An OEM arch is really only going to be available from a boat junkyard, and it's pretty rare to find one with the arch still intact as it's a really commonly wanted part. It's not something your dealer or Cobalt can typically order for you.
Some places like Great Lakes Skipper occasionally list arches available, too, such as https://www.greatlakesskipper.com/search/?q=cobalt+arch

Re: Factory Arch Help
I've been in the automotive collision repair industry for 32 years. Mostly insurance claim repairs. We find parts for vehicles all over the world. I know boats are different, but what happens if someone would to have an insurance claim for the tower needing replacement due to impact? Would Cobalt expect the owner to have to go aftermarket and not sell the OEM unit? That does not make sense to me. Of coarse I understand if the boat were 20 years but mine is only 7 years old.
