I have noticed that the trim position on the Garmin screen reads from 0 (full down) to full up position. Normally, using Auto Trim Assist, that correspond to 0 up to about 19 degrees at full throttle
and planning.
The EVC reads from a negative (-5 approximately) up to a positive 5 or 7 (I don’t remember) at planning.
Is the difference in the readings correct?

Unfortunately yes. VP reads degrees from vertical whereas the Garmin reads percentage from max trim down. So -5 degrees equals 0%.
