Installing Dinette Table 2011 262

I'm looking for advice on best way to install mounting bracket/hardware for dinette table. I've read that drilling thru the gelcoat and fiberglass can be tricky. Alternative is to drill thru holes and mount using bolts given I have back-side access in the storage area. The mounting area has an increased thickness I assume for the table bracket mounting function (about 1inch). Anyone have experience doing this...open to any/all suggestions and pics would be great too. Thanks.

I would definitely drill through and put a backing plate on the inside. Someone leaning on the table will put a lot of tension on those mounts.
