Try x14. You can get a interior company to dye it. But that's alot. A would guess would be $3k Yt you might have a better idea on the cost. The boat is staying wet from something.

Hey welcome to the CobaltChat forum, Dpwct. So glad you found us!

We had that mold & mildew issue once when we stored our slightly moist Donzi for the winter. We will never again store our boat wet after experiencing that Mold attack. Not fun. 🚤🚤🚤

The best plan of attack is to start light and work more aggressively on your chemicals. Mild soap and water with a cup of bleach and then work up from there. Keep in mind bleach will destroy the organisms but also eat thru threads on the vinyl. Try to avoid the thread.

Klean-Strip mildew remover was a great product but has since been discontinued.

Magic eraser works well on some areas but will not destroy the organisms. The mold will grow back. Mold hates sun and bleach. 😎

Another option--Go to Dollar General and buy a $1 spray bottle of Awesome--a yellow colored liquid. It works like a charm on upholstery. My marina buys it by the case.

Feel free to introduce yourself in a new thread if you like. We enjoy hearing how folks get into their precious Cobalts.

Once again, welcome aboard!

Use this stuff. Spray it on and let it set for about 10 or 15 minutes. Then use a magic eraser. It's nothing short of amazing.

The price on reupholstery really depends on how much labor you are willing to do. It should be around 3 to $4,000 if you just take the boat in and have it done. If you just do the seat cushions and seat backs it will run about half of that, but then you also run the chance of it not matching the rest of the interior because of its age and "dingyness"

Seriously, starbrite mold and mildew remover is the best stuff I have found. Bar none.

And welcome to Cobalt Chat!

Professional cleaning / detailers may be another option instead of interior replacement.

It really is. I get a little nervous though when that power washer gets near those gauges. Still... if it comes down to replacing your entire upholstery or trying this, it's worth a shot.

Looks to me like they put the cover on before everything dries out everytime they use the boat.

And I agree A7, that power washer or steamer on the gauges and dash? No freakin way..
