350 engines vs 380’s or 430’s
We’re looking at a 2016 336 with twin 350’s. The only 336’s or R35’s I’ve seen all had either twin 380’s or 430’s. Is the boat underpowered with 350’s? Thank you

I have a friend that has an R30 with 350’s and that boat will run! Of course it is definitely lighter than the r35 and 336. I think 350s would be fine, but betting the 380 or 430 would be noticeably better.

Big difference in size and weight between an R30 and a 336 or R35. We have a 302 (basically same size as R30) with twin 380’s. Plenty of power! Hence my concern of a larger boat with less power…

Can't go down in power on a new boat purchase. It's a rule. 380s it is.craigjworkman wrote: Sun Aug 18, 2024 9:51 am Big difference in size and weight between an R30 and a 336 or R35.
