Transom Lights on R6 Surf

Post by joe255558 »

I would like to add the transom lights to a 2023 R6 Surf. Where are these lights installed from the factory? Is there an existing plug I can utilize for the wiring? If so, where is it?

Thanks,
Joe

I can’t answer on where to install. I have a 2024 R6 non surf without underwater transom lights, in the back of the engine compartment there is a wire marked underwater lights. Next week the dealer is installing the lights for me because I wanted them to integrate with my Garmins.

There are several threads here on the subject. The one I was most interested in was a light at the drain plug.

My opinion on the drain plug light is don't do it, most of them are cheap and I don't think you will be happy - not a replacement of quality installed lights. I am pretty sure the switch and wiring is already there.
