Boat Carpet Missing Floor Snap Quick Fix

Post by Marco4Ever »

I borrowed the saggy door hinge trick for a pulled out floor snap and it worked and has stayed put for 2 years.

Simply take a wooden Golf T and apply a good dab of white marine grade glue and push into hole where the snap pulled out.

Let is sit overnight.

I used my side cutter to snap off the top and simply screwed the original or replacement snap into place.

Sorry forgot to take a picture, however, you get what I was doing.

Note: you may want to remove the pointy end of the Golf T and shorten up the length as well if the spot you are repairing is anywhere close to where you will be reaching in with your hand/arms in the future.

Cheers
