Fender Quick Release Size?

Post by TX777 »

Picking up a few more of these for additional Babz fenders that I ordered, but looking to confirm if they are 3/8” or 1/2” versions for our Cobalts? Thanks in advance!

They are 1/2” on the factory clips.

I recently installed 4 of the 1/2" Phender Pro clips on my 302. The instructions call for a 1" hole to be drilled, but it required a 1-1/8" hole. Good luck with the install - we've been very happy with ours!

Thanks gents! Won’t need to install as came from the factory with them, just looking to pick up a few more of the pins for alternate fenders.

Never thought of the alternate fender idea. We lost one clip and purchased a new one from the dealer for over $100. Please post a link if you find something more reasonable.

Over a $100? Holy cow I had no idea that they would be so expensive.

I had thought I picked these up at a reasonable price on eBay a month ago, but from what you’re saying I almost stole them.

My only complaint is that the Cobalt themed lines seem very large for fender lines. These fender lines are as large or larger than my normal dock lines. A minor quibble considering the price that I paid.

Yes. Once I figured out that the specified 1” hole needed to be 1-1/8.”

When I see what stainless steel machined parts like this and the swim platform knob are priced at, it makes me want the umbrella holder that sliderule is making even more.

The eBay seller originally had the fender clips listed at $150 or Best Offer. Unbelievably he accepted my ridiculous offer of $120 without doing any counteroffers?!?

Also, I purchased Used "Very Good " condition ones a month or so back on Amazon and they showed up looking brand new. Just opened packages. Just giving experience on this item if you want to save $14 each on them
