Show us your Cobalt Hibernation space

Post by AsLan7 »

Well, the deed is done. :ugeek:

Honey and I towed the 263 to Waterford PA to begin the hibernation process for the winter. Since it has been three years from the time we stored our 262 here, I called the storage manager and said we had the same size boat to store and asked "did he have room". Sure, no problem!

Unfortunately, it is ALMOST the same boat...I failed to mention that monster arch! Ceiling clearance was going to be tight--like inches.

Had to have my wife in the boat to hold down the antenna slightly from hitting the rafters, but she fit...barely. Whew!

Glad I did not have to let the air out of the tires.

It's a bitter sweet day as it's 72 degrees and sunny, but I know she is tucked away safe and warm from the gales of El Nino coming our way.

Some pics:

Hmm... I'll trade you my seat cushions for that arch? Then she'll fit better!

I'm limited to weekend boating as it gets dark for the after work runs.

For us as for many the "time change calendar " dictates our boating season. March to November.

We are going to attemp a stretch to January as I'm being in denial of the season.haha! We may pull it sooner.

It really never gets below freezing here but the Jan-feb rain is non stop usually.

I'm looking forward to spring too!!

Summer, winter...all the same. I'm a little paranoid about the gelcoat yellowing or oxidizing though, so full set of side skirts were in order.
