VP 380 Impeller Change Question

About to change the impeller but see two o-ring gaskets. One red and one black. Figured just one in the water pump cover channel? Why two in the box? Thanks!

There are more engine applications out there than impellers - my suspicion is that the "other" o-ring is for a different impeller assembly that uses the same impeller.
