Figure I’d keep hope alive with some December boating. No swimming but a great afternoon on the water. A very quiet day on crab island and Destin harbor; left plenty of room for the true believers! The floating tiki bar boats still partying on.

Nice to see the water color coming back. We were there late Aug thru mid Oct and we only had a few days with blue/ emerald water that we are used to.

The last thread someone asked for snow pictures. Until roughly May 1st, we will be looking at a lot of this here in NH.

Tides were not aligned well, lots of outgoing tides spanning most of the day, and coupled with all the rain running off this fall it was pretty murky.

Will you be back down for spring break?

A rare December day where the ice was thick enough to walk on but no snow covering it yet. We took a walk on the ice across the lake and I was wishing I had my skates.

beautiful. Could you see any fish? I also see some whitetail buck tracks along your drive. I was just thinking that would suck to make it all the way home just to have a deer jump out mere feet from the garage and wreck the car...

Nah, we avoid the area in high season. Our rentals are booked and really don't like all the chaos in spring and summer. We come back in late Aug.
