Whoa! That power!.... Pending the hours and options, that's a solid price on that 323.

With as small as Okoboji is I would bet the hours are low. I think they are having a hard time trying to sell it for the same reason. If it was on TRL it would have been gone a long time ago.

So, while everyone is telling you what to buy based on performance, I'm gonna get you some points with the Mrs. Not sure if you have ever slept on the standard type of boat bed, but they totally suck as a general rule. I feel qualified to say this as I've spent many a night in boats on the hook. I would highly recommend you look at something with an aft berth that you can add a mattress topper to. That usually makes them more tolerable. The other big thing to consider is the ventilation. Boat cabins can become a reasonable substitute for a sauna in no time. The other thing I would highly, highly recommend is a boat with an aft berth like the Formula listed earlier. I would trade the low headroom anyday for the stability of the stern placement. They rock and roll about 40% less than a V-berth and believe me, you will feel every ripple in the V. The first time you are at anchor laying down on that pedestal of a bed in the V of the bow all ready for a good nights rest and a sizeable wake comes along and promptly puts you and or the Mrs on the floor with no warning or gently slams your head into the hull at light speed, the honeymoon is OVER. Also, if you are going to overnight, take a hard look at a marine air conditioner if you have any warm weather. No place worse than belowdecks on a still muggy night, of course, now you need a genset if you're on the hook. Oh, and while where at it, you're gonna need good ground tackle, so don't forget that. Oh, and of course, for more than a night or two, you're gonna want refrigeration and that takes good solar or one heck of a house bank of batteries...probably 4-6 deep cells minimum.....

You could do it in either the Searay or the Forumula, but the Aft berth seals the deal in my book, regardless of manufacturer... And I promise, you make the Mrs happy and she won't remember how fast the boat can go. That's how I'd priortize......(Blasphemy, but it's the truth as I always try for honesty over popularity anyday).

This! ^^^^^^ All good points.

Stay with Cobalt quality. The 360 has all the amenities sailor mentioned and currently there's several listed under your budget.

My vote is for the Cobalt 343. While at it grab one with 525's. Supercharged is fine. Done.

Just saw a 343 for the first time. I dig it but is it “tall” enough for rough seas?

The 343 is the stand-alone choice from Cobalt for cutting through rough seas. 24.5* deadrise.

You just gotta have the cajones to mash the sticks and get up on top and RUN!
