I was contemplating trim tabs when I was sailing gulf coast shallow bays but now that I’ve relocated to inland lakes it isn’t an issue thank goodness!

I too have had issues breaking the plastic plugs on my VP 5.0Gxi. Had one get so wonky that I replaced with a brass insert. Always keep some on hand.
