The issue has been going on for sometime. When I found the ignition wires two of them were actually disconnected from the ignition, and the screw was missing. I assumed they should be attached to empty lug. I asked AI where if those two wires should be attached to that lug. It said no and told me if ...

Fixed it, the ignition switch was miss wired from prior owner. Rewired it. Starts every time now.

I just got a 2003 263 with a 8.1 penta. It takes 10 -15 attempts to get it to start. It turns over, sounds like it’s gonna fire but doesn’t. Once it does start and is warm, it fires right up.
