I would definitely drill through and put a backing plate on the inside. Someone leaning on the table will put a lot of tension on those mounts.

It will depend on the year. The newer boats use an NMEA backbone and the older ones have a standard (9-pin?) connector. Mine is 2018 without the glass cockpit and has older style connector behind the dashboard.

I just went with the blue-white sea blaze lights since I really only like the blue anyway! The Lumishore lights have a command module that is compatible with the Garmin but probably have to have the dedicated Lumishore light (but maybe not!).

Are you over-complicating this a little? A simple on-off style RGB light or a RGB controller with a remote will do the same thing without using the Garmin. I get it that integrating everything seems kinda cool but ultimately. I would spend the money on the lights that I wanted and not worry about ...

stainless steel foot rest
Does anyone know the part number or dimensions for the stainless-steel footrest in an R3? I assume it would be similar in the other R series. Are any of the ones available at Great Lake Skipper the right size? They don't link the models that the footrests fit.
