Fixed the Bennett hatch lift system on 262
When I bought my 01 262 the hatch lift system would only work with the engine running. I figured the pump was weak and luckily had a Bennett trim tab set up in the garage attic. Looked up the wiring for hatch lift system on Bennetts web site. I removed the lines needed and adjusted the wires and ...

Re: Overpowered?
I know a guy who had one with twin 400s. However I was out on my 22' donzi this summer and found a guy with a 27' tritoon with twin 500s. He was getting 70mph out of that monster

Re: First winter clean up 2001 262
I did remove the power stern light. It wouldn't go all the way up or down. I took it apart to see if it was salvageable, but the gear rope was all twisted and stripped. I was waiting to get the boat in the garage to install the new innovation replacement light. It's still a telescopic light pole, so ...

Re: First winter clean up 2001 262
This is a link to the actual boat from a broker who tried to sell it before the owner traded it in at the marina I bought it from.

First winter clean up 2001 262
I bought this 2001 262 in early October this fall. The boat was significantly less than market value and didn't show very well. Luckily the marina that was selling it was honest and knew the condition which is why it was marketed so low. I was able to take it for a lake test and everything worked as ...

Re: Upgraded 12 years to another old boat '01 262
Thanks for the heads up Jwill as well as the shout out on OSO. I've been a member on there for some years. Once I bring it out of storage in the spring and give everything a once over I will reach out on that thread. It only cost me 300 to store it for the winter and I believe it will bring more if ...

Here is the Formula that I will be selling in the springs since I bought the 262. The Donzi is my fun toy that will stick around for the occasional run around day.

Upgraded 12 years to another old boat '01 262
New to the site and to owning a cobalt. Just picked up a 262 with the 8.2 volvo out of lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Boat is in need of vinyl replacement soon. It runs well and everything seems to work as it should. I'm not new to boating I am coming from a '89 Formula 242 and have had several ...
