I guess Im paranoid/overthingking it
I dont think I can snake/ backflush. as near as I can tell, the drains go to a pipe a couple of feet long then just dump into compartments on either side of the engine then there is basically come out weep holes into the bilge.

This was it and the perfect part.

Hello, I have never seen this on my other boats, So it took me longer than I would like to admit to even notice, I have a 262 and the two deck drains go into the bilge.

-Has anyone ever done modifications to send thes deck drains out a thru hull and right off the boat? Would ...

Does anyone have any sources or other topics on how to access the path for the steering cable? I don't know how to get the cushions out and I do not appear to be smart enough to search this site properly.

First time caller, long time listener.

I have a 2004 262 with a Mercruiser 496 Mag.
I have no power steering. The wheel is as hard to turn whether the engine is running or not. There isn't a stuttering in turning or anything other than just a lack of power steering feel.
Seems the same ...

Am I missing something? If I try searching 2004 262 deck drain or anything else 262 specific, it ignores the 262. How would I best go about being able to search for this? Is there a trick? How else would I search for topics on my 262?
