Re: CS23 on Lake Tahoe?
Thanks all for the replies. I forgot to turn notifications on so I'm just catching up now. We'd be wanting it mostly for shorter to medium length cruises, e.g. from North shore (Tahoe Vista) to Emerald Bay and back. Not generally across the lake. Plus tubing and possibly water-skiing.

Re: Pros and cons of an onboard toilet
Thanks all, very helpful.
One thing I've heard is that onboard heads are tiny, basically not big enough for anyone larger than a kid to use. Is that true in your experience? For boat size reference, I've been looking at R5s that come with a head.

What about having it cleaned and pumped out? Is that pretty easy?

Re: Pros and cons of an onboard toilet
Try asking your wife to use the water if it isn't a swim day. It will rarely be used, but when needed, worth its' weight in gold. Deal with extra coin and whatever complications arise. I would never own a boat without a toilet and would a porta potty would be highly suspect. Your buying a Cobalt ...

CS23 on Lake Tahoe?
Hi CS23 owners, I'm new to Cobalts but hoping to get a boat soon for Lake Tahoe. I've heard that the CS23 is great but may be a bit light for the 2-3 ft. waves and higher winds (>15 mph) that can come up fairly frequently on the lake. I'd love to hear your experience with this question and with the ...

Pros and cons of an onboard toilet
Hi,
I'm a newbie considering a purchase of a used boat. My wife is very concerned about not having a toilet on board, and doesn't like my suggestion of going in the water! Looking at https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2019-cobalt-r5-8358223/ as an example, I see it lists a porcelain head with electric ...

Thanks for the welcome, AsLan7! I've tried putting the PDF inline, maybe that will help?
Asking price is $105k, which feels high to but I'm new to this! About 70 hours.

Thanks!
