Re: How to value a R5
I would do a combo of 1) NADA used boat values 2) Look at all listing for similar R5’s 2 from 2014 to 2018 to understand listing prices 3) Check on this site and a Cobalt Facebook groups to gut check what price you’re talking about with the marina (and see if anyone has any recent purchase history ...

Re: R6 Surf wave feedback
Old thread sorry. Trying to make a long tall wave with a lot of push. Have been playing with the R6 wave. What setting controls what part of the wave? Is the below correct?
Ballets tanks - wave height
Trim - how steep the wave is
Speed - wave length
What have people found to be the longest ...

Re: Factory battery charger mounting specs A25/A28
When I bought my 2020 R5 last year, I had the dealer add a charger and plug. Here are a couple of pics, if it helps. 1st pic shows the plug location to right of walkthrough.

Re: Adding tower speakers
I've heard the Kicker tower speakers, and they sound a bit less harsh to my ears than some of the bigger brands as well (not that Kicker is obscure). I believe they were something like these: https://creativeaudio.net/kmtc-parent/
Yep, those are the ones. I think the sound is a little less ...

Re: Adding tower speakers
Definitely doable yourself, but even with a pre-wired tower on my R5, the dealer had a challenging time pulling everything through. Sometimes it’s as easy as it seems, other times 😱.
I looked long and hard at the JL Audio’s, but I prefer HLCD speakers so the sound can carry to the tubes and boards ...

Re: Wakeboard Tower Diameter for R5
I was able to speak with Dwight in Neodesha, so I thought I’d close this out with the details. The forward part of the tower that is typically white or black measures at 2.5”. The back tube that is brushed aluminum measures at 2”.

Wakeboard Tower Diameter for R5
Anyone have the diameter measurements for a 2020 R5 (or similar boat/tower) handy? Trying to figure out what size clamp.

Re: R5 w/Heritage Trailer Overall length
Since you have a bimini and not a tower, then you could drop it down when storing. I did that with my 242 for a few months, while waiting for a new storage unit with a 12’ door.

Re: R5 w/Heritage Trailer Overall length
The length of my 2020 R5 measured out at 28'5'' from the front of the trailer to the back of the boat. The height on the trailer w/tower up is 10’8” - not sure how this compares to the bimini, but my old 242 had a bimini and it fit in the same storage with 12’ door.

Head Compartment Storage - R5
Head compartment storage. I put a tension rod in there for the life jackets and love the set up, but the walls are uneven/sloped and cushioned/fabric, so the tension rod doesn’t hold well. I’d like to put a bracket on both sides and put a rod there. Any tips on what size screws to use? Not sure how ...

Snap on Cover - tips/tricks?
2020 Cobalt R5 - Any tips on how to easily put on the snap covers while the boat is on a trailer? The spot where the bow and cockpit meet at the window seems like gymnastics to try to get the snaps snapped and the Velcro overlapping. I don’t use it much, but am considering ordering the mooring cover ...
