Here is the other kit that I purchased.

Re: outdrive hydraulics problem
Just the process of elimination.
My outdrives would never leak down without a load.
When on the lift or trailer, I could have the outdrives trimmed up and they'd never drop (even after days), but once in the water and moving ... The port would leak down after 3 - 5 minutes or so.

Re: outdrive hydraulics problem
I had a similar problem on my port outdrive (8.1 with DP duoprop).
No external leaks, so I wound up rebuilding the rams.
VP uses a poor design on one of the internal seals (it's actually a 2 piece design) that will eventually start allowing internal bypass resulting in a leak down of the ram.

Re: You can't always get what you want - Or can you?
If it's anything like mine ... It was just a thin wood veneer over a metal backing plate.
I actually looked at these guys (https://newwiremarine.com/custom-marine-switch-panels/) before deciding to make a new dash myself.
They have some nice wood grain options, and were reasonable priced.

Re: Frustrating weekend
It's a device that reduces / eliminates the "shock" / jerking between the boat and inflatable.

Frustrating weekend
Started off having an awesome weekend at LOTO with some friends.
Weather was perfect ... Everything went great Friday.
Saturday was a blast pulling the kids on the tube and coving out.
Get done for the day and go to unhook the tube from the tow point, and the damn thing is loose!
Cannot believe it ...

Re: New GPSMap, Dash, and Transducer on the 302
Also took the opportunity to add a second under dash "selector" button and split the wiring so that I could separate the two Tach LCD screens.
This let's me cycle each screen independently to display different engine data.
What I'd like to eventually do is either hook the Garmin into the existing ...

New GPSMap, Dash, and Transducer on the 302
Decided to address a few of the issues I've had with the 302.
Upgraded the tired old GPSMap 520 to a Sonar capable GPSMAP 742xs with the new Airmar P75M Chirp transducer.
Had to create a new Dash to accommodate the 16x9 format of the 742.
The Dash isn't perfect, (I'm probably the only one who will ...
