BB, All of my posts are good to follow!!Big Block Power wrote: Fri Sep 20, 2019 9:13 pm I would compare the 262 and the R7. Can't imagine the r3 being as good but it won't be that bad. Or a R5. You will be ok.

262 vs R3 vs R5
I have a 262 and we love it. Have gotten into surfing this year. My mother in law has a 20ft MC surf boat and my boss owns a centurion sv244.(wave is amazing).
I am looking for someone that has first hand experience being in a 262 and can compare the ride and interior space to the R3 and R5 ...

Re: Considering R5 Surf purchase- opinions?
Any update on this? Did the OP end up with a cobalt surf boat? I boat on the same lake and do not have near the issue with shallow water as posted, so wondering what was chosen and how it has went.

I will test it when I pull it out of the water tomorrow but both batteries are about 2 months old. Brand spanking new

262 Fuse/Battery??
My 262 has dual batteries. I was running it set in number 2 today. I try to alternate them every trip out. I pulled into a bay and reached up to shut off the engine. I heard a pop over the speakers like my amp kicking off power. That is normal but this time it seemed louder and now my battery 2 is ...

Re: My 262 Build
Finally got her in the water this past week. It is not finished but it was sea worthy for the week. Have an issue with the hydraulic system where if you raise the hatch, it lowers the trim tab. My mechanic has a call in to the vendor to see what is causing that. Also he has the automatic fire system ...

Re: My 262 Build
Cross your fingers. I got the call that I could pick her up and take her out this weekend. She isn’t finished but would be in running order. They are having trouble sourcing the fire extinguisher system. Hoping all goes well.

Re: Thoughts on this 262 with Samson arch
I am not a huge fan of the aftermarket archs on the 262.. but opinions differ. If you like it that is all that matters. I do love the factory arch that came on that boat.

Re: My 262 Build
as I understand it, the steering arm sits well above the waterline and should not be an issue under normal circumstances. This means something happened for it to take on water. I am now worried that my mechanic had something to do with the issue from when he replaced my started the week before. Just ...

Re: TRL Cobalt Regatta and CC Meetup
I am trying to see if we can swing the trip. It is my youngest birthday on the Wednesday before, so not sure yet. Going to look into places to stay and such. I would probably try to come in Thursday night late.
