I just got the Garmin ECHOMAP UHD 73SV. Gonna use the Ram mount suction cup mount with the bottom resting slightly on the dash. Looks like it will be solid. Can send pics if interested

Hi, new owner of 2004 Cobalt 240. Two weekends in a row, after launching the boat from a cold start, the alarm goes off, the temp gauges shoots from 160 to 180, and the boat sputters when we try to take off.

Takes a few minutes, alarm stops, temp drops back to around 160, boat runs fine the rest ...

I thought about that but was worried about drilling through the hull

In my 240 anchor locker, it appears that the drain outlet is several inches above the bottom of the anchor locker. So there’s a pool of about 5 inches of water that isn’t going anywhere. I’m sure this is going to cause odors and such with the anchor line.

Well they seem to be in good shape but they don’t hold the tabletop in place at all. Maybe the snaps are just worn out??

Hi, our 240 has the tabletop that lays in the floor when not in use and doubles as the base for the rear filler cushions (which converts to a larger lounge pad in connection with the rear bench seats).

The problem is, when the tabletop slides into position, it constantly slides forwards and falls ...

I’ll check on the rubberized coating option today. Can’t hurt to try it before installing new. The carpet itself is in pretty good shape, especially for its age.

Ok so that’s something I’m not familiar with. Is that a service that the local marine upholstery place might offer?
