Re: Check engine and audible alarm 300 v8 C-A

Well I can now report that the issue has been resolved. I took the boat to the nearest dealer who scanned and found "ghost" codes and some "real" codes. The "real" codes pointed toward a throttle position sensor problem. Dealer suggested replacing the throttle position sensor, which is located at ...

Re: MEFI service documents

Thank you for those. You wouldn't have a manual for a 2013 Volvo Penta V8-300-C-A would you?

Re: Check engine and audible alarm 300 v8 C-A

Closest dealer to me wants $500 for the kit plus $195 to install. Seems pretty pricey to me.

I think there may be, but it may also be for newer engines. I think it's called Easy Connect.

Check engine and audible alarm 300 v8 C-A

HI- I have a 2013 220 WSS with the Volvo Penta 300 V8 C-A engine. It has about 165 hours, runs and starts great, idles fine, has plenty of power, no stumbling, is not running hot, and has good oil pressure at any RPM according to the gauge. We just put about 40 hours on it at Flaming Gorge in Utah ...

Re: Trailer Recommendation

I had a Metal Craft trailer out of Salt Lake under my 206. Solid unit, powder coated, and tough. It was a far better trailer than the EZ Loader I have now under my 220.

Re: 2002 226 Fuel Pump replacmert (350 Mag)

My 2001 206 with the VP 5.7L Gsi engine had two fuel pumps mounted on a bracket with the fuel filter. They whine a lot, which some say is a warning that they, most likely the high pressure pump, are about to fail. Mine eventually did. Ordered one on line ($800ish) and replaced it in my driveway ...

Re: 230 Owners? Mooring Cover?

I just bought a new factory mooring cover for my 220 Wss off Ebay and am having it modded by a canvas shop to fit my tower. It's not done yet, but I think it wiil work out well and save about a grand. Just a thought.

Check these guys out...owned by Garmin.

I replaced my Sony head units and pucks with a Fusion unit and bluetooth pucks. Sounds and works great. I did have to do some splicing at the head unit, but it was pretty easy.

HI A7- Yes I think they are Rev10s, and thanks for the compliment on them. I'll make sure my wife knows.

And BPP, Yep I'm afraid to admit it, but I'm a Bretz buddy.

Re: Speakersocks

We ordered a couple of pairs from SpeakerSox trying to get a good fit with a high quality cover, but were disappointed both times and returned them. We trailer a lot, and wanted a good, strong cover, so my wife made a pair. Her boss has an embroidery machine, and made the embroidered panels to ...

Re: Anyone tried to replace their fuel pump?

That's the guy. Thanks BBP. My engine had 2 fuel pumps, and was around $800 from Leaders Marine. It had a low pressure (lift) pump, and a high pressure pump to feed the injectors. I was considering sending my pump assembly to Mancave for rebuilding before I sold the boat. I don't recall any type of ...

Re: Anyone tried to replace their fuel pump?

I changed mine on my 2001 206 5.7L Gsi engine. Took about a half hour. No muss, no fuss. The pumps came as a package, mounted on the the assembly that includes the fuel filter. Remove 4 bolts, I think, the fuel lines, and disconnect a molex connector. Installation is the reverse of removal. Not hard ...
