The cotter pin came out whole. I've doused it in WD-40 so hope that frees it up. I did try moving the steering cable to see if that would free it up but no luck. My cotter pin is on bottom of pin so hard to access and see. I will try to get a c clamp in there and press it out. Thanks for all the ...

One more thing, if you have a lot of pressure on the steering cable, it may be very tough to remove. Turn the steering wheel a bit to see if it loosens it up a bit.

Once you're able to get it removed. Send it to "5-Star Marine" in Port Richey, FL. I removed mine from my '04 250 and sent it to them two years ago. They rebuilt it for $500.

Welcome, Ryan. Have you contacted GatorStep for your flooring? I put this in our '04 250 and its held up well and looks great. If you have a dealer close by, they can create a template for your boat. They also have a DIY template kit they can send you. Good luck and send pics.
