Isn't that just the protectant? What do you use to clean?

Re: Boat Bling Products

I was told by the person who remade our sunpad NOT to use Vinyl Sauce. I had been using it on our vinyl, and I noticed it was turning green, and asked her why it was doing that and she asked what we had been cleaning it with. We have been using 303 ever since, and the green has disappeared.

Or you can just use vinegar which is the active ingredient in it.

Did you fly the KC135 before the yaw dampers were installed? My friend, who is a retired colonel, said it was the hardest pane he ever flew while in the AF. He flew MANY different aircraft with the last one being the F-35.

Re: Volvo Penta V8-380 Coolant Flush

I change my coolant in my autos at 50K...I am conservative but they get way hotter than a boat engine. It's cheap and easy...why not do it at 5 years.

Re: Cell booster or Starlink mini? No coverage in coves

Buy a lithium battery and use a dc to dc converter/charger to charge it. In order for it work properly, you will need to keep the length of the wire to a minimum and the gauge big enough to avoid voltage drop. People that don't do this bump the voltage up to 24V but not needed if you take my advice ...

The technician thinks it may have been corrosion over time that caused it to fall out.
Those cotter pins should be stainless. I wonder who replaced it with a steel pin.

Re: Swim Platform lights

I boat on Lake Tahoe and there is no way I would be using tabs to push the bow down. The waves are too close to each other and you will get waves over your bow(stuff the bow) if you push it down to far. In the ocean, it is a completely different story with swells.

The Chris Craft on Lake Tahoe last ...

Southerncomfort - I am looking to add trim tabs to my 242 as well to help with keep weight in the bow as the water on lake tahoe gets very rough. Do you have any pictures of your final install? What size did you install and what kit?

Thanks
If you have extra weight in your bow, trim tabs are not ...

Re: Hard Starting

Almost sounds like a vapor lock issue when the engine sits a little bit warm. Does it happen even if you aren't getting fuel if you let it sit not running for the same amount of time?

Do you always add a little throttle when you try to start?

I would probably test the fuel pump pressures to see if ...
