Re: Troubleshooting hydraulic swim platform
Good day folks,
I bought a 2012 a25 with 175 hours last weekend. I’m trying to work out a few bugs. First and most important the hydraulic swim platform won’t go up or down. Pump sounds like it’s pumping, alarm comes on but no movement. The only time it moves is when we arch the solenoids but ...

Re: 2012 Cobalt A28
My gel guy ordered the gel for my A25 from Cobalt. Matched exactly. Think he called with Vin and they provided color code. Or he bought direct from Cobalt. Not exactly sure.

Re: A25 Trim tabs
Seattle,
I ordered through Hodges marine. Pretty painless and arrived quick for make to order part. They are electric. I am running the 8.2 Merc 380HP.
I would almost be certain it is same part number for the A28 but just call Colbalt to be 100%. Ask for their part number and give that part ...

Re: A25 Trim tabs
Finally added these at end of season. Highly recommend for the A25. Really evens the boat out in all areas. Stays on plane at lower rpm, can cruise around on plane at 2300rpm and 20mph if needed , really helps lift heavy ass end of this model out of the water and no more shifting port passengers to ...

Re: Hydraulic swim platform issue on 2015 A25
We were out hanging out in a cove today with the platform down. The platform came up as normal when we were ready to leave. Shortly after I started the boat the warning buzzer starts intermittently going off. As we were idling forward the platform just starts going down. I stopped and raised it ...

Re: A25 Trim tabs
About to pull trigger on adding tabs to my A25. Wanted to share my research in the event it can help others.
Apparently Cobalt had to use a made to order tab for the A25, the inside corner is cut off on port and starboard tabs. 21317-A (002) Lenco.pdf
Cobalt appears to have placed these next to ...

A25 Trim tabs
Want to add tabs to my A25. Every boat I’ve ever owned had them and I miss them. Anyone have photos of mounting location and size? Specific to A25? And controller at helm location?

Re: Hit Something Below Water Surface
Happened to me in shallow water this weekend. But I was in reverse at idle speed maneuvering. Sucked up a rock between Skeg and prop. Just made me sick. Boat made it 9 yrs without this happening. Photo before and after. Luckily it doesn’t change performance. Just resell. May be able to find ...

Re: Block pressure / water pressure
Great point. Freakin our over a decimal. Make sense. I don’t think that sensor is able to detect over 50 psi anyway. Thx.

Block pressure / water pressure
OK so new boat to me. 2011 A25 with Merc 8.2. Cobalt smart raft gauges. My block pressure On the smart craft is reading like 65psi at idle and 190 psi at 3000rpm. I changed sensor thinking it was bad. Same. After talking with Merc. They were concerned. Said it should be like 20psi. So I’m now very ...

Re: R5 Trim Tab Location
Great write up. I’ve been searching for hours for A25 Install location and can not come up with anything on this. Has anyone performed this on a A25? I’m conflicted on what part of the hull to use. I found 1 picture that has them Placed in the outdrive space but looks like the R series are placed on ...

Re: New member 2011 A25
Congrats on your purchase! I actually looked at your boat a few weeks ago. It was in really good shape! I only passed on it because they had a 262 coming in on trade that I purchased instead. The sales guy at Jerry's said the previous owner was a Wisconsin Badgers fan which is why he bought a red ...

Re: New member 2011 A25
Mostly Cumberland but we will go to KY Lake some and keep it in louisville and go on the Ohio some when water conditions are decent.
