Re: R30 vs R31

I'm sure I'll be debating this very question on a lightly used version of each in about 3-4 years.

I think the biggest difference right now will be the price. I'm guessing the R31 may run you another $100k?

I would probably go with the R30 for now. I generally think its not advisable to purchase ...

Re: 246 listing

I had the Merc version of this motor in my 2003 240. Same 320 HP. It's basically the same style and size of boat. I would say you're perfectly fine.

Re: 246 listing

I know pictures can be deceiving but that boat looks to be in REALLY good shape. Also I don't think the is unreasonable either. I sold a 2003 240 back in 2018 for about $32,000. If you are a serious buyer I would give this a hard look. Also notice the cart with all the cleaning supplies right there ...

He hasn't logged in since August of last year. May be a while until he chimes back in.
Well then.....wonder if the PR campaign was launched. If so, it never crossed my path.

Re: R35 Coupe?

looks better than some of the early profile pics. Wish you could roll down the upper side window to allow more airflow. I assume a small galley option would be available behind captain seat. Is this basically the R35 with an enclosure?

That does indeed sound very encouraging. Promises are one thing; corrective action is quite another. But sounds like they are committed to fixing your issues and that's a great start. Hoping for the best!

Re: Boat show season

I do love a good boat show. I'm in the STL area and our show disappeared during covid and I fear won't be coming back. Disappointing to see some of those pics. Especially on their flagship model.

I'm hoping to travel down to our lake house in Branson next weekend to attend the Springfield boat ...

Re: Boat Shopping

I would say top speed is 48-55sh? Cruise around 30sh. Yes that boat will be more than fine for Beaver/TRL/Etc. I'm at TRL and see 262s all the time.

Re: Boat Shopping

I think the early 2000s 262 would be a great boat to jump back into for trailering and watersports. I would be cautious taking her to LOTO. Yes generally your probably fine (especially during the week) but as Jwill mentioned on Shootout weekend it may be a different story. There will be a large no ...

Re: Cobalt after Malibu take over

I dont think they are going away necessarily. Looks like they were taken over by MarineMax. Not that this will necessarily fix any quality issues. But they look to still be around. I do like their styling.
